Sydney has always been a beautiful city, but for a few magical days this month, it wasn't just Sydney.

Pinoy Creators Bring 'Outcast Energy' to Wednesday Island in Sydney

It was transformed into the gothic, whimsical and deliciously eerie world of Netflix's currently No. 1 show, "Wednesday."

Imagine a real island draped in shadows of Nevermore Academy, lit by an ominous giant moon and echoed with the energy of fans who've embraced their inner "outcast." That's exactly what Cockatoo Island became when it was reborn as Wednesday Island for the "Doom Tour" in celebration of "Wednesday" Season 2.

And yes, Team Philippines came in full force. With me were content creators Mimiyuuuh, Hans Galendez, Edge Tuico, Myrtle Sarrosa, Nicko Sia, Kerwin King, Sofia Pablo and Chris Cantada.

Together, we stepped into a world where fantasy met reality, and our shared Pinoy outcast energy lit up the darkly chic "Wednesday"-verse.

We were even asked to decorate our Nevermore best and wear our uniforms. Mimiyuuuh, never one to miss a fashion moment, showed up in a look that screamed "Anak ni Principal Weems"—her words, not mine!

Myrtle, the cosplay queen, committed to her look despite the chill. Edge and Hans brought their cool kid charisma, while Kerwin and Nicko turned the island into their personal fashion runway. Sofia was radiant and refreshingly youthful, reminding us why Gen Z loves Wednesday, while Chris added that extra flair.

Collectively, we weren't just attendees. We were proud Filipino outcasts repping our culture and creativity on a global stage.
