NEA boosts energy to empower every Filipino

Electricity does more than light homes. It opens doors to education, livelihood, and growth.

For the National Electrification Administration (NEA), ensuring that every Filipino has access to reliable power is a mission grounded in resilience and collaboration.

STRENGTHENING COOPERATIVES

Boosting the resiliency of electric cooperatives (ECs) and stabilizing energy supply remain top priorities for the NEA.

"We are making this possible by forging partnerships with key players in both the private and public sectors," says NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda.

In the past three years, the NEA has joined forces with the Department of Education (DepEd), the University of the Philippines National Engineering Center, and the Maharlika Investment Corporation.

These collaborations have trained cooperative engineers, advanced research initiatives, and developed long-term solutions for off-grid ECs such as PALECO in Palawan and ORMECO and OMECO in Mindoro.
