Marcos eyes more PCG vessels
The Philippine Star
|October 24, 2025
President Marcos yesterday vowed to continue acquiring vessels, aircraft and other equipment to boost the capabilities of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as he praised the uniformed service for its work that he described as “what the best of government can look like” at a time when trust in the public sector is “shaken.”
Speaking during the PCG’s 124th founding anniversary in Manila, Marcos said the uniformed service has remained steadfast in times when the country’s seas face greater challenges and has proven that “courage knows no tides and that service knows no bounds.”
