MAP, DOE sign pact to advance Phl Energy Plan

The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) has teamed up with the Department of Energy (DOE) to promote access to affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity in the country.
In a statement, the MAP said it signed the Joint Energy Action Agenda (JEAA) for 2026 to 2028 with the DOE during the MAP Energy CEO Forum on Dec. 1.
The JEAA provides a roadmap for public and private sector collaboration to accelerate the implementation of the Philippine Energy Plan (PEP) 2023-2050, which aims to increase the share of renewable energy in the energy mix, while reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
To accelerate the execution of the PEP, the JEAA identifies priority actions.
