Emma was joined by Miss Grand International (MGI) first runner-up Gotchabell Gotchapan of Thailand, MGI president Nawat Itsaragrisil and Miss Grand International 2024 Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza. The latter and Emma scored a back-to-back win for the Philippines in the Thailand-based pageant’s history.

“The best thing about winning is when it is shared,” said Emma during the presscon, “and it is because of the Filipinos’ support, the Filipinos who believe in me and the Filipinos’ bayanihan. I think pinaka-masarap is when we got the historic back-to-back victory.”

“I myself, I didn’t expectit,” added she. “That's why ang dami na ngang meme na lumabas sa aking reaction noh. Yun siguro yung pinaka-masarap when you made history and you touched lives and hearts of people, not only of your people, but (also) the international fans, especially the Thai fans... and also I’m grateful.”

She shared that what also made her MGI journey become “magaan” or smooth-sailing, was because of her roommate Gotchabelle.
