BSP Adopts New Monetary Policy Format

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is implementing a new format for announcing monetary policy decisions starting today, in a bid to enhance transparency and public understanding of its actions.

In a statement, the BSP said the monetary policy stance statement will be released later at 2:30 p.m. through its website and official social media accounts.

The announcement of monetary stance is prior to the closing of the stock market and before the briefing on the policy.

"This is part of the BSP's efforts to further strengthen transparency and public appreciation of monetary policy actions," the central bank said.
