BOI: Only 5% of Projects Certified for Green Lanes Operational

Only around five percent of projects certified for green lane processing are operational as of April, according to the Board of Investments.

Of the 203 projects worth P5.17 trillion endorsed by the BOI to go through green lanes for streamlined processing of permits, the investment promotion agency said that only 10 are operational so far.

"With just 10 projects fully operational, the data suggests many are still in transition, highlighting potential bottlenecks in later stages," the BOI said.

Created under Executive Order 18, the green lanes aim to expedite, streamline and automate the processing of permits and licenses for strategic investments.

The bulk or 154 of the 203 projects certified for green lanes are in the pre-development phase.
