The chips are down for Intel, the semiconductor maker that once dominated Silicon Valley but is now fighting for its life.
After failing to spot the AI boom, and losing over two-thirds of its market capitalisation since April 2021, the company once famous for producing the chip “Inside” every computer now has Donald Trump demanding the head of its latest, recently appointed CEO.
