Ozempic drug giant sheds its boss the Danish way

The share price of Ozempic and Wegovy maker Novo Nordisk has been dropping faster than the body weight of its typical customer.
From the peak last June, it is down by more than half, wiping hundreds of billions of dollars off its market capitalisation, which at a still hefty $254bn means it is no longer Europe’s most valuable company. On Friday, it was announced that this rapid financial slimming had cost CEO Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen his job.
