Unauthorized pony porter booked on Vaishno Devi track

In a proactive measure to regulate pilgrim services and ensure safety on the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) track, Reasi Police booked an unauthorized individual posing as a pony porter during routine patrolling near Ban Ganga Bridge, close to Geeta Mandir.
The incident occurred around 9:00 PM when patrolling personnel intercepted Mohd Rafiq, son of Noor Jamal and resident of Danga Kote, District Reasi. When asked to present a license or authorization card for operating as a porter (Pithu), the individual failed to produce any valid documentation.
