Stress management in school children need of the hour

In today's fast-paced and performance-driven world, even our youngest generation is not immune to stress. From packed school bags to packed schedules, from digital distractions to academic competition, children today face stressors that were once exclusive to adults.

This was stated by Physical Education Lecturer (PEL) and Yoga practitioner, Anil Kumar while expressing his concern towards growing stress level at the school level.

"The rising cases of childhood anxiety, exam fear, social isolation, and sleep disturbances are alarming signals we must act upon," he maintained.

Working as PEL at the Government Hari Singh Higher Secondary School, here, Anil elaborated the growing trouble among school children in an interaction.

What's Stressing Our Children?

Unlike adults, children often lack the vocabulary to express their feelings. Academic pressure, parental expectations, peer competition, bullying, and screen addiction silently accumulate in their minds. Overloaded routines without enough physical activity or emotional downtime create the perfect storm.
