Ministerial cadre of SWD, Jammu raises clarion call for pending DPC

Gurmeet Singh, Provincial President of the JKADCSA (Ministerial Federation), ministerial staff of the Social Welfare Department voiced strong discontent over the long-pending Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) proceedings, which they claim have remained stalled since 2018.

The meeting, attended by Section Officers, Head Assistants, Senior Assistants, and Junior Assistants, highlighted years of neglect and administrative apathy. Many officials, despite decades of service, continue to retire without formal promotion orders or the financial benefits that come with confirmed posts—often functioning merely in “in-charge” capacities.
