Fraudster impersonating LG’s staffer held in Rs 50 lakh scam

The Crime Branch Kashmir (CBK) has arrested a fraudster who posed as a Duty Officer to the Lieutenant Governor and duped people of over 50 lakh by promising jobs and land allotments.
In a statement issued, the accused has been identified as Abdul Majid Mir, son of Abdul Rahim Mir, resident of Lishtiyal Kupwara. He was arrested in connection with FIR No. 10/2025 registered at
