Uproar over shifting of Gandhi, Ambedkar, Shivaji statues in House

AFTER the upheaval over the relocation of statues of national icons including Mahatma Gandhi, Bhim Rao Ambedkar, and Chhatrapati Shivaji within the Parliament premises, the Lok Sabha Secretariat clarified that sculptures of "great leaders" are being placed at a convenient location on the campus so that visitors can see them and draw "inspiration from their lives and philosophy.

" Through a statement issued on Thursday evening, the Secretariat informed that a grand memorial- Prerna Sthal - is being developed in the Parliament House complex, which will comprise these statues.
