Govt's clarifies after Taiwan firm claims new investments not discussed in recent meet
THE Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday reiterated that global electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn is set to invest ₹15,000 crore in the state after the Taiwan firm claimed that no "new investments" were discussed in the Monday meeting with the government.
The officials of the Industries department insisted that while Foxconn may not view it as a "new" investment, Monday's announcement was the first time the state was revealing the firm's plan to invest ₹15,000 crore in TN.
