She was addressing a public gathering in Valsad’s Dharampur town.

This marks Priyanka Gandhi’s first visit to Gujarat after five years.

The last visit of a Gandhi family member to this area was by Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo yatra in 2022 before the state Assembly polls. She tore into Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of spreading “misinformation and neglecting the welfare of ordinary citizens”. Also, the Congress leader highlighted the pressing issues the people were facing from pension schemes to women’s empowerment.
