Dr Kuganantham, former city health officer, dies at 68

FORMER City Health Officer and Director of the Communicable Diseases Hospital, Tondiarpet, Chennai, Dr P Kuganantham, passed away on Monday at a private hospital due to complications following a lung transplant. He was 68.

A Cheyyur native and Stanley Medical College alumni, Dr Kuganantham played a key role in controlling cholera, swine flu, Chikungunya and dengue outbreaks in the city.
