CONDEMNING the union government over the recent controversy surrounding the National Education Policy (NEP), a few DMK cadre blacked out Hindi letters from railway station name boards in Pollachi and Tirunelveli on Sunday.
-

DMK's Pollachi unit town secretary Thendral K Selvaraj, along with other cadre, entered the Pollachi junction at 7.25 am and smeared black grease over the Hindi letters on three name boards at the station, sources said. "A railway police constable who was on duty asked them to stop, but they did not. However, the boards were restored within an hour," said a Railway Protection Force (RPF) officer.
