Ambush on ambulance, Army dog & terrorist killed in Jammu's Akhnoor

A terrorist was killed, and two others were trapped in an ongoing encounter with security forces in the Sunderbani sector of Akhnoor, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu district of J&K on Monday. The confrontation began in the morning after the terrorists attacked an Army ambulance that was a part of a convoy in the area; however, no injuries or damage was reported.
National Security Guard (NSG) commandos and the Army's elite para commandos are assisting the troops on the ground in the anti-terrorist operations.
According to Jammu-based defence spokesman, the terrorists fired upon a convoy near Asan area in Sunderbani sector of Akhnoor, near the LoC in Jammu district, in the morning. The Army ambulance, which was part of the convoy, was hit by a dozen bullets fired by the terrorists.
