US trade deal 'betrayal' of farmers, alleges Rahul

CONGRESS Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday stepped up his attack against the government over the India-US interim trade agreement, directing a series of questions at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleging that the deal amounts to a “betrayal” of Indian farmers.

In a post on X in Hindi, Gandhi claimed that under the guise of strengthening trade ties with the US, the government may be opening the doors that could undermine domestic farmers and reshape the country’s agricultural economy over the long term. “In the name of a US trade deal, we are witnessing a betrayal of Indian farmers,” the Leader of Opposition said.
