AFTER the Operation Tiger becomes successful, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s position in the NDA will be strengthened.
Sources said Shinde is likely to set his eyes on the CM post that eluded him after the BJP emerged as the single-largest party in the state in the 2024 assembly polls.
Shinde-led Sena has seven Lok Sabha MPs and the number will rise to 13 after six rebel MPs of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) merge with his party. The Shinde-led Sena will be the largest party in Maharashtra in terms Lok Sabha MPs. The BJP has seven MPs from the state.
