The school education department on Wednesday suspended the headmistress of the panchayat union primary school in Maveripatti after a video surfaced on social media showing her asleep on a classroom desk while students massaged her arms and foot.
The video, purportedly recorded by parents, went viral and drew widespread criticism. Officials said HM P Kalaivani's actions were in violation of the RTE Act.
