UNION Minister for Skill Development Jayant Choudhary informed the Lok Sabha on Monday that the Government of India has launched Apprenticeship-Embedded Degree Programmes (AEDP) to enhance employability by integrating apprenticeship training with higher education.
Responding to a query by Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, the Minister said the initiative aligns academia with industry needs and was first announced in the 2020-21 Union Budget.
