FARMERS in Annamayya district are rapidly adopting drip irrigation systems to combat the region's persistent drought and water scarcity.
This shift is enabling them to cultivate larger areas with minimal water usage, making agriculture more sustainable.
The district administration has set an ambitious target to implement drip irrigation across 14,000 hectares for the 2025-26 financial year, with District Collector Sreedhar Chamakuri emphasizing that the system not only reduces input costs but leads to higher quality yields and increased crop diversification.
