Not seeing any major cancellations, says CEO; IT services company misses street estimates
THE country's largest IT services company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday missed Street expectations and posted a 1.68% decline in its consolidated net profit for Q4FY25 at ₹12,224 crore. The company had reported ₹12,434 crore in the same period the previous year.
It reported a 5.3% year-on-year (YoY) increase in March quarter revenue at ₹64,479 crore, driven by double-digit growth in regional markets. The company had posted ₹61,237 crore revenue in the year-ago period. For full-year FY25, the company reported ₹2,55,324 crore revenue, up 6% compared to ₹2,40,893 crore posted in FY24. In dollar terms, it crossed the $30 billion revenue milestone.
In a post-earnings press conference, K Krithivasan, chief executive and managing director, TCS said that in the last quarter they mentioned that CY25 will be better than CY24 and "We still believe based on the order book that we have announced and kind of deals that we have signed," he said, adding there could be some short-term uncertainties.
