Complaining that the levying of 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) under the reverse charge mechanism on rent for commercial properties has made businesses unsustainable, AM Vikramaraja, the president of Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangangalin Peramaippu, on Tuesday threatened of a protest in front of the central tax department office in Delhi if the tax is not rolled back.
