Tribal Youth Tied to Post and Attacked

A 19-year-old tribal youth has been allegedly tied to an electric post and beaten by a pickup van driver and his assistant in broad daylight in the Agali region of Attappadi.
The youth is identified as Siju Venu from Chittur in Agali. The incident took place on May 24 in the Chittoor Kattekkad area. Siju said the assault occurred after he accidentally fell in front of a vehicle transporting milk from local dairy societies to Milma.
