A wave of bomb threats sent by email jolted Gujarat on Wednesday, putting at least 19 prominent schools in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Kalol on high alert.

Panic rippled through classrooms and corridors as threatening emails warning of bomb blasts landed in the inboxes of some of the state’s most well-known schools, including Zebar, Zydus, Agrasen and DAV International School.Within minutes, the response machinery sprung into action. Police teams, bomb disposal units, sniffer dog squads and fire services fanned out across campuses, sealing gates, evacuating premises and combing every corner with clockwork precision.
