SBUDA plans to allot 5,000 plots to beneficiaries: Sundaresh

THE Shivamogga-Bhadravathi Urban Development Authority (SBUDA) plans to create and sell at least 5,000 residential plots to eligible beneficiaries, aiming to help thousands of individuals fulfill their dream of owning a home, SBUDA Chairman H S Sundaresh said.
Speaking at a press conference in his office here recently, Sundaresh said 104 acres of land had been identified in Gopashettikoppa on the city's outskirts. "Of this, 30 acres have been pledged by landowners in a 50-50 land-sharing agreement, with government approval secured for land conversion. Development work is set to begin soon. Negotiations with other landowners are ongoing. If agreements are not reached, the government will acquire the land under legal provisions for further development," he said.
