Rollback hike in diesel price, toll fee: CPM

THE Dakshina Kannada District Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has urged the state and central governments to immediately revoke the increases in diesel prices and toll rates.

In a statement, CPI(M) Dakshina Kannada District Secretariat Committee member Sunil Kumar Bajal said, that while the people of the state are already suffering from the hike in the prices of milk, electricity and garbage collection rates just before the Ugadi festival, the Congress government in the state and BJP-led central government has rubbed salt on their wounds by increasing the price of diesel by Rs 2 per and toll rates by 4 to 5%. "These are extremely anti-people measures," he said.
