Much-needed govt children's home for girls awaits technical clearance

As per Mission Vatsalya guidelines, buildings must be constructed under 'Vatsalya Sadhana' concept

The government children's home for girls in Shivamogga is in dire need of a building of its own. Earlier, it was run in a rented building, and now it has been shifted to the building of the government children's home for boys due to security purposes, while the boys' home is now currently being set up in a rented building.

The government has sanctioned funds and land for the construction of a government girls' home, but is yet to give technical approval for the building, and hence the building construction is kept pending.
