Says promotion for Manoj Sinha (from MoS to L-G) and demotion from him (now CM of UT)

- FAYAZ WANI AND RAJESH KUMAR THAKUR @Srinagar/Katra

MAKING a strong political statement in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inauguration of the Kashmir rail link, J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday made a renewed pitch for the restoration of J&K's statehood, saying he had experienced a demotion from being CM of a full-fledged state in 2014 to CM of a UT while Manoj Sinha was promoted to Lt Governor from minister of state.

He hoped that it would not take much time for the prime minister to reverse the status and restore J&K's full statehood.
