A day after the Supreme Court reserved the verdict in connection with the detention of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the country, the top court on Friday re-notified the matter to hear the case again on March 4,
The Supreme Court on Friday said that it will hear in April pleas seeking to bring political parties under the purview of the Right to Information Act to ensure accountability.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar was hearing two PILs filed by NGO Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and lawyer Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay on the issue.
While asking all the litigants to complete their pleadings in the case, the bench posted the matter for hearing in the week starting April 21. "We will take it up on a non-miscellaneous day for the final hearing. In the meanwhile, the pleadings have to be complete," the CJI said.
