THE local administration in the coastal delta region of Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai as well as Puducherry's Karaikal celebrated the 76th Republic Day on Sunday, replete with cultural programmes.
Mayiladuthurai Collector AP Mahabharathi, Nagapattinam Collector P Akash and Karaikal Collector A Kulothungan unfurled the national flag at the respective sports stadium. They also accepted the guard of honour from the parading forces.
