CONGRESS MLC D Thimmaiah expressed concern that untouchability continues to exist in society even today. He was speaking at a book release event organised by Mysuru Ratna Samskruthika Pratistana at Rotary Auditorium on Sunday. Thimmaiah launched two works by writer Purigali Mahadevamurthy 'Ambedkar Vicharadhare-- Naneke Opputhene' and 'Vishwapatha Masika Avalokana'. He said, "Even in 2025, in many places Dalits are denied entry into hotels, made to use separate plates and cups and are refused haircuts at saloons. This reflects the deep-rooted discrimination that still persists." Ref
