Reddy Chairs Dist Disaster Management Meeting With Senior Officials

WITH the onset of the monsoon season and forecasts of heavy rainfall in the district, Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikant Reddy has directed officials to implement all necessary precautionary measures to prevent damage caused by rain.

Chairing a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority at the DC's office here on Tuesday, Reddy emphasized the importance of proactive planning.

"The monsoon has begun, and the Meteorological Department has predicted good rainfall this season. Tahsildars must convene meetings with taluk-level officials and ensure that in case of crop damage due to rain, a report is submitted within a week by the agriculture and horticulture departments," he directed.
