AFTER Punjab, Madhya Pradesh now appears to have come under the extortion radar of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The Special Task Force (STF) of the MP Police is working closely with counterparts in Maharashtra, Haryana and Rajasthan after extortion threats were issued to at least six businessmen and wealthy individuals across the state.
The cases span multiple districts, including Khargone in southwestern MP — a region known to house Sikligars (traditional gunmakers and alleged gunrunners) who manufacture and supply country-made pistols to criminal networks, particularly in northern India, including those suspected to be linked to the gang.
