Kolar will be cleaned up and further steps will be taken across state, says Upalokayukta Veerappa

In his address after chairing a Lokayukta grievance meeting in Srinivasapura, the deputy Lokayukta suggested that officials compulsorily work to the satisfaction of the applicants. They should stop making money and maintain cleanliness in the office. This will help ring in a good atmosphere, he added.

India is ranked 96th in the world in corruption, and our state is ranked 5th in the country. The Lokayukta is not under the government. The Lokayukta functions as an independent institution, said Veerappa, adding that the basic objective is to create good governance.
