BYV: SIT formed under pressure from leftists

CRITICISING the state government for allegedly targeting Hindus and appeasing leftists and "so-called progressive leaders, BJP state president B Y Vijayendra claimed that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the alleged Dharmasthala mass burial issue was set up under pressure from leftist groups.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Vijayendra accused the state government of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by ordering the probe. He said devotees are seeking justice in the matter and are demanding clarification from Chief Minister Siddaramaiah regarding recent statements made by Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, who had expressed solidarity with Dharmasthala.
