Can state budget help promote K'taka's ports as gateway to attract FDI?

THERE is a list of demands from people of Coastal Karnataka ahead of the state budget of 2025-26 that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah plans to present in March.
Though it is expected that the budget may touch ₹4 lakh crore mark, stakeholders from the coastal districts are expecting that the budget will consider development of 12 minor ports for their global integration.
The CM's office has already received letters in this regard which suggested enhancement of port infrastructure for fostering global collaborations by attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).
