Another encouraging trend is the rising number of GST registrants, with over 2.5 million new taxpayers added in FY25
DESPITE disruptions in economic activities due to uncertainty over Donald Trump's tariff policies, GST collections in April saw strong growth. Gross GST revenues hit an all-time high of ₹2.36 lakh crore in April 2025, 12.6% higher than the collection of ₹2.10 lakh crore in April 2024. The gross revenues from domestic transactions rose by 10.7% to ₹1.89 lakh crore, revenues from imports rose by 21% to ₹46,900 crore.
