Youth Rescued Hours After Being Abducted, 5 Arrested

The Kasaba police on Wednesday rescued a youth who was kidnapped by a gang of men in connection with financial dealings in Kozhikode city. The police officials rescued the youth within hours of the abduction and have arrested five persons in connection with the crime.
Biju Raju, 30, a manager at a company called K P Travels in Palayam, was abducted by the accused when he was at his travel company's office, under the limits of Kasaba police station in Kozhikode, at 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
A group of youths, who came in an Ertiga car bearing the registration number KL 10 AR 0846, stormed the office, introducing themselves as police officers in the early morning and forcibly took Biju Raju, saying that he is being detained in a cheating case.
