Police arrest Pocso case accused who escaped by jumping off train

The Nallalam police have arrested Naseethul Sheik, 23, a Pocso case accused who escaped from police custody by jumping off a train.
The accused had escaped from police custody in November while being brought to Kozhikode from Assam. He has been arrested after five months of investigation.
The accused, an Assam native, abducted a 15-year-old Bengali girl, who was living with her family in Cheruvannur, Kozhikode, in October 2024 and handed over to the accused's father in Haryana. The father sold the girl for Rs 25,000 to a relative who took her to his house and raped her. In this case, Naseethul has been charged with kidnapping, human trafficking and rape.
