IN a significant leadership transition, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting on Monday announced the appointment of Kumar Chander, currently President — Southeast Asia and Yardley India, as new CEO, effective February 1, 2026.
LIFE Insurance Corporation of India on Monday said R Doraiswamy has taken charge as the chief executive & managing director of the public sector insurer.
Earlier in the day, the Department of Financial Services under finance ministry issued a notification of appointment of Doraiswamy as the chief executive & managing director.
Doraiswamy has been the LIC for over three decades and had held various positions like operations, marketing, technology, and academics.
Technically he is the second CEO of the corporation after it went public in May 2022, when then chairman was re-designated as the CEO and MD as per the listing obligations of the Sebi.
