Call grows for SC-monitored probe in Ankita Bhandari case

A statewide 'bandh' was observed across Uttarakhand on Sunday, called by the Congress and other opposition groups, demanding a CBI probe into the sensational Ankita Bhandari murder case, supervised directly by a Supreme Court judge.
The 'bandh', which marks rising calls for justice in the case, had a significantly wider impact in the hilly, mountainous regions compared to Dehradun and the plains.
