CALICUT University's Malayalam UG Board Chairman, MS Ajith, has declared that the university will proceed with the inclusion of rapper Vedan's song in the third-semester BA Malayalam syllabus, despite a recommendation from an expert committee to exclude it.

Ajith emphasised that any grievances regarding the syllabus must follow proper university protocols, stating that only the Dean of the Language Department and, subsequently, the Academic Council are authorised to review and act on such complaints.
