International fest has helped highlight Kerala on the map of adventure water sports competitions, says tourism minister
The final preparations are under way for the International Beypore Water Fest to be held on December 27, 28 and 29. Public Works and Tourism Minister P A Mohamed Riyas said that the Beypore International Water Fest has helped highlight Kerala on the map of adventure water sports competitions.
The minister was speaking at a press conference organised by the festival organising committee in Beypore ahead of Season 4 of the water fest, which will be held on December 27, 28, and 29.
The minister also said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the festival on the evening of December 27. MP M K Raghavan and Kozhikode corporation Mayor Beena Philip will be the special guests. Film director and actor Basil Joseph will participate as the chief guest. The flag to be hoisted at the venue will be brought to Beypore beach on a bicycle ridden from Kozhikode beach. A live music show led by singer and director Vineeth Sreenivasan will also be held on the opening day.
