Underperforming teachers in Uttarakhand plains to be transferred to hilly areas

In an unprecedented move aimed at elevating school educational standards in the state, the Uttarakhand education ministry is poised to implement a decisive new transfer policy.

According to sources, the initiative will specifically target teachers who have consistently delivered sub-par academic results. Dubbed one of the department's more "unconventional decrees," the revamped policy mandates that teachers demonstrating poor academic performance in the plain regions over the past two years will be compulsorily transferred to schools located in the state's challenging hilly terrains.
