Sabarimala airport: Spl tahsildar to expedite land acquisition work

Latest government order says it intends to acquire 1,001.873 hectares for the project
TO expedite the land acquisition process for the proposed Sabarimala Greenfield International Airport in Erumeli, the state government plans to establish a special tahsildar office in either Erumeli or Kanjirappally soon. A dedicated tahsildar will be appointed to oversee administrative coordination for this land acquisition.
Currently, the general land acquisition (LA) tahsildar's office, under the revenue department, has begun preparations for a detailed land survey set to start in June. This survey aims to define the boundaries and area of land needed for the project, which may also extend beyond the Cheruvally Estate. The revenue department has requested approximately sixty employees to assist in this process.
