THE Thiruvarpu panchayat has initiated efforts to develop Malarikkal into a model of sustainable tourism that directly benefits the local farming community.
Tourism Minister Mohamed Riyas will visit the place on Tuesday to explore the potential of expanding tourism in the region. The area attracts a significant influx of visitors during the water lily blooming season.
